Years-long covert military space mission

The US military declared that they will be launching a spacecraft on a second covert mission that is expected to take several years to finish.

The military’s X-37B spacecraft departed NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Thursday night. This spacecraft, which has the appearance of a miniature space shuttle and is autonomous enough to be able to land on its own, is entirely unmanned.

These spacecraft take off vertically, much like a spacecraft or rocket ship, then land horizontally, much like an aircraft does. On display at the Kennedy Space Center are two X-37Bs.

Considering that the X-37B was only introduced in 2010, this is its seventh flight. It has been in orbit for ten years now, used for covert space missions, from that time.

Other than the fact that this mission was to examine the effects of radiation on materials, no information was supplied.

Although the duration of its most recent mission was 2.5 years, we are unsure of the exact duration of this mission. Still, the covert mission began its voyage on Thursday night when it departed the NASA Kennedy Space Station.
