The number of illegal border crossings is increasing due to the border patrol’s inability to keep up with the delays in repairing Trump’s border wall. The massive metal beams that make up the existing border wall are marked with dates indicating when repairs should be undertaken.
Nevertheless, there are numerous places along the border where aliens can evade detection because the repairs haven’t been done. A few of the beams are flimsy, which makes them portable and gives more space for bigger parties to enter at once.
Even with faster processing times and more effective border security personnel, the volume of immigrants entering cannot be kept up.
Lukeville, Arizona is just one example of a rural area where immigration is taking over because of the border. While immigrants are traveling through Mexico to enter the United States, chaotic situations are visible. Unlike past years when immigrants were primarily adult men, many of them are traveling with complete families or are women and children returning to be with other family members.

Both the immigration wave and the repairs that must be made to Trump’s border wall are too much for the border patrol to handle. They claim that simply driving up the wall to find breaches in it can take up to an hour.
Troy Miller, acting commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection, stated, “Our officers and agents are responding to large groups of migrants, which means that some of our agents aren’t on the line, not really monitoring for some of those cuts.” “You’re going to see what you’re seeing if there is nobody to respond.”
The number of immigrants entering the country is uncontrollably high, and border control officials are doing everything they can to expedite and streamline the immigration process. The problem of an increase in immigration cases follows this. There are currently over 3 million cases pertaining to immigrants, and this number will only rise as more people cross the border.
Although it may not happen right away, the process can benefit from the increased screening standards. Congress may debate legislation that would be the biggest change to immigration since 1996.
