The results of the states’ current vote on whether or not to keep Donald Trump on the ballot are starting to come in.

The Secretary of State of California said on Thursday that Donald Trump will continue to appear on the state’s ballot in 2024. States like Maine and Colorado have tried to remove him from the ballot prior to this.

There was a strong effort to take him off the ballot despite the choice to keep him there for the same reasons that states like Maine and Colorado removed him. Trump faces accusations of breaching the 14th Amendment because of his involvement in the attempt to rig the 2020 election and the ensuing unrest.

As a result of his involvement at the Capitol building on January 6, Maine also rejected Trump from their vote; Colorado is presently seeking a ruling from the Supreme Court over his removal from the ballot.

Conspiracy against rights, obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to hinder an official proceeding, and conspiracy to defraud the US government were the charges brought against Trump. But while he waits for his trial on the events of January 6, Trump has not yet been found guilty of any crimes.

Since he hasn’t been proven guilty of the crime and can’t technically be taken off the ballot according to the 14th Amendment just yet, many people have thought this to be unfair.

In response to Maine’s decision to remove President Trump from the ballot, House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik tweeted, “Another day, another illegal and corrupt act by the desperate radical Democrats weaponizing government against President Trump.”

“This is voter suppression, election meddling, and a flagrant assault on democracy,” she went on. The far-left Democratic secretary of state for Maine just took President Trump off the ballot on her own. This unprecedented and unconstitutional move ought to be overturned immediately by the Supreme Court.

Regarding his opponent being removed from the ballot, Biden hasn’t said anything. He hinted that we all saw what happened when he remarked recently that “certain things are self-evident.” He did, however, state that he would defer to the judges on whether or not it violated the 14th Amendment.
