Vivek Ramaswamy was running against former President Donald Trump in the GOP presidential primary. However, he recently dropped out of the race and said he would be supporting Trump instead.
Today, Tuesday, Ramaswamy gave a speech in Atkinson, New Hampshire, supporting Trump in the upcoming race. This was one day after quitting the election. Many people knew this speech because it sounded a lot like what he said when he was running for office, but this time it was directed at Donald Trump.
Trump stood next to Ramaswamy. Trump had only recently said that Ramaswamy wasn’t being “MAGA” and accused him of being dishonest in his campaign.
“This country is at war right now.” Some people love the United States of America and people who hate this country and what it stands for. “And we need a leader who will lead us to victory right now,” Ramaswamy said.
“I’ve been his friend even though we competed with each other. But I knew him and got along with him, so… “Why is he running?” I asked repeatedly. He calls me “great president” all the time. But he’s a great person and very smart. Trump talked about Ramaswamy and said, “He’s got some great ideas.”
“He’s going to be working with us for a long time,” he told us. A lot of people in the crowd were shouting “VP! VP! VP!” This suggests that Ramaswamy and Trump might work together as presidents.
Ramaswamy had been pushing his ideas for a while now while he was running for office. He was seen getting rid of Trump and giving out t-shirts that said “Save Trump.” “Go vote for Vivek.” This quickly changed, though, after Trump won the Iowa vote. Ramaswamy then dropped out of the race and backed Trump.
Ramaswamy spoke out in support of Trump, saying, “I expect to join him tomorrow in New Hampshire and I think I will expect to join him on the campaign trail after that as well because I think it’s important that he becomes the next president of the United States.”
