People say that men tend to make more money than women in general or in some jobs, but in over forty places, women make more money than men. A new study says that in ten cities, women made more money than men.

The place where women make the most money is Bowie, Maryland, where the average income for a woman is about $80,000 a year. There were also other places on the list, like Newark, Delaware; Fort Washington, Maryland; Oakland, California; and Hackensack, New Jersey.

The lowest average was found in Chamblee, Georgia, where women make $58,000 a year on average. In the United States, women make $0.84 for every dollar that men make, which means that women generally make less money.

Washington, D.C. is a place where women tend to get paid about the same as men, or where they can make more money. This is mostly because pay for government jobs is usually more equal for men and women.

There are more than 360,000 people living in Oakland, California, which is the biggest city on the list. A median income for men and women is only $100 different, but that’s still enough to put women slightly ahead of men in terms of income.

According to the experts, the places where women made more money than men had a low median income generally, which may have played a role in the results. The place where women make the most money is Jacksonville, North Carolina, but the average income for everyone is only thirty thousand dollars. They say that Jacksonville has a lot of government and military jobs that would help make pay more fair.
