Two of Vice President Kamala Harris’ senior advisers have left the White House since she took office in January 2021, the latest in a string of personnel losses for her administration.

According to Politico’s sources, Rohini Kosoglu, Harris’ domestic policy advisor, and Meghan Groob, Harris’ head of speechwriting, are expected to leave in August. After Kate Childs Graham’s retirement in February, Groob has named her replacement on the show.

Nearly six years ago, while Harris was still a senator, Kosoglu began working for her. Initially, she would work on Harris’ presidential campaign before moving on to the transition team and, finally, to the office of the United States vice president. Kosoglu has stated that she is stepping down to spend more time with her family, husband, and children.

The vice president commended Kosoglu as a “bright and dependable leader who has been at my side for years, from the U.S. Senate to the campaign road to the White House.”

Harris said in a statement that “she has given a vision, strategic insight, and a breadth of expertise as our government has handled some of the most serious concerns faced by our nation.” “She is a remarkable public servant, and I am deeply thankful for that. It’s safe to say that Rohini will continue to serve as a trusted counsel and friend.”

During her first two and a half years in office, Harris’ office had a high turnover rate, losing several aides around the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022.

Symone Sanders and Ashley Etienne, Harris’ former press secretary and communications director, announced their exits at the end of last year.

Sabrina Singh, Harris’s deputy press secretary since shortly after the now-vice president withdrew from the Democratic presidential race, announced her retirement this year. As of March, Singh had relocated to another part of the government. Even Harris’ chief of staff, Tina Flournoy, a key player in the changeover, announced her departure in April.

After a series of blunders and rumors of dysfunction in her office, the vice president’s office went through a round of layoffs just a few weeks ago.
