When the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA, crashed into a cargo ship, it gave way and fell into the water.

Rescue workers had to stop their search and rescue efforts because they were having trouble looking in the water, which they called “dangerous conditions.” After the search and rescue was called off, the six workers were thought to be dead.

Rear Admiral Shannon Gilreath of the Coast Guard gave the bad news: “At this point, we don’t think we’ll find any of these people still alive.” On the other hand, the cops did say that the divers would have to come back the next day to get the body parts.

In the early hours of the morning, around one, the cargo ship crashed into the bridge and caught fire.

When the crash first happened, the officials thought there were a lot of injuries until they saw that some people had fallen into the water. When they looked into it, they saw that two people had fallen into the water and had to be saved.

Brad Scott, the mayor of Baltimore, said, “It looked like something from an action movie.” He said it again and again: “an unthinkable tragedy.”

President Joe Biden said he would be going to Baltimore as soon as he could and would ask Congress for money to rebuild the bridge because it was an important part of the American journey and over 30,000 cars use it every day.

“This is going to take some time,” the President said about the attempts to rebuild. However, the people of Baltimore can be sure that we will be there for them until the port is open again and the bridge is fixed.

Vice President Joe Biden said that the crash didn’t look like it was planned and there was no reason to think it was.
