There was just news from the Biden government that they would be forgiving another large amount of student loans for almost 300,000.

Biden said that the next step in his plan to forgive student loans would include giving away an extra $7 billion. When Biden ran for his first term, he pushed for this kind of forgiveness, and he’s stuck to his plan to forgive billions of dollars in student loan debt.

“As long as there are people whose overwhelming student loan debt makes it hard for them to meet basic needs like food and medical care, we will keep working hard to help millions of people across the country,” said Miguel Cardona, the U.S. Secretary of Education.

This time, $3.6 billion will be taken away from the debts of 200,000 students. After this, more than sixty thousand people will no longer have any debt.

At first, when Biden tried to get rid of student debt, conservatives said that this was against the Constitution. Student loan forgiveness worth billions of dollars was accepted by the Department of Education, and it has been kept up by programs like SAVE.

Biden has come up with a number of ways to help students with their loans and people whose loan amounts are lower since he took office.

The Education Department has been trying to find even more ways to help students with their loans. His most recent plan to forgive student loans and start over is one of many new programs that the Biden administration has been putting in place.
