A group of Trump supporters clashed with a MSDNC reporter over several issues regarding the January 6 Capitol riot from the nature of the death of a police officer to Donald Trump’s culpability.
In an interview conducted by MSNBC’s Elise Jordan, a focus group of Trump supporters pushed back on Jordan’s assertions and corrected her claims regarding the allegations that a police officer was killed by protesters and that former President Trump did nothing to stop the mob that broke into the Capitol.
The heated discussion began after Jordan questioned the group whether it was “OK” for Republican Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano to “breach one of the restricted areas” of the Capitol grounds.
“Which area? Because I saw a video where Capitol officers were taking away barriers and unlocking doors for people,” a male voter questioned while several others who were seated with him agreed.
“They opened the gates and let them in,” another man added.
“So it shouldn’t be disqualifying for an elected official if they participate in January 6th?” Jordan followed-up then the voters either shook their heads or audibly responded, “No.”
“No, as long as he didn’t strike anybody, he didn’t hurt anybody,” another male voter added and then, the female voter sitting beside him brought up the case of Ashli Babbitt, the U.S. Air Force Veteran who was killed by Capitol Police while trying to enter the inner chambers of the building.
“And the only one that died was a protestor there, not a Capitol police officer,” she said.
Another voter also elaborated, “An unarmed female was shot by police.”
“That’s the only one who died,” the female added.
Jordan then rebutted the claim, stating, “A police officer did die,” and after that the reporter received a pushback from the voters. “No,” one responded swiftly, while another explained, “He died of a heart attack.”
Another voter also claimed that, “It was a stroke.”
This comes as the left mainstream media continue to label supporters of Trump who went to the former President’s “Stop the Steal” rally, traitors of the country.
Trump supporters who have also agreed with him that there were shenanigans at play during the 2020 election, have also been harrassed by the media and the government authorities, reports revealed.
However, despite the clear and concrete evidence against the leftists allegations against Trump’s supporters, the media continued to throw false accusations, smearing innocent supporters about the incident that happened on January 6, 2021.
