Former United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton who lost the presidential race to former US President Donald Trump slammed Trump’s supporters, comparing them to Nazis.

During her speech in Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, the defeated presidential candidate criticized Trump’s supporters’ index finger salute at the former president’s rally and claimed that it was similar to how she used to feel about Nazis.

Clinton began her criticism with her experience when was a student, spending time thinking about how people could be drawn to Hitler.

“I remember as a young student, you know, trying to figure out how did people get basically drawn in by Hitler. How did that happen? I’d watch newsreels and I’d see this guy standing up there ranting and raving, and people shouting and raising their arms. I thought, ‘What’s happened to these people?” Clinton stated.

After that, Clinton began her criticisms about Trump’: rally on September 17 where he campaigned for Senate candidate JD Vance.

“You saw the rally in Ohio the other night. Trump is there ranting and raving for more than an hour, and you have these rows of young men with their arms raised. I thought, ‘What is going on?’’ Clinton said.

Furthermore, Walter Shaub and other leftists echoed Clinton’s criticism, alleging that people and their index finger gesture at the rally was a “reminiscent of a Nazi salute.”

“It may seem odd they’d adopt a gesture reminiscent of a nazi salute, but they’ll grow more overt about their nature as their grip tightens. They’ve pulled off the biggest wave of voter suppression in a half century, control the courts & so far mostly got away with a coup attempt.” Shaub claimed.

“The fascists in this photo do not believe Trump can make their lives better; they believe he can make other people’s lives worse. It’s a movement of hate and destruction,” he stated.

Clinton’s controversial remarks came after Trump gave a political rally in Youngstown, Ohio last weekend.

“And we’re leading Biden now in all the polls and we’re leading also all Republicans by record numbers. The Republicans are not doing too well. And now, after what happened and watching our country go to hell, we may have to do it again. May just have to do it again. Stay tuned, everybody, stay tuned,” the former president said.
