“What the f— are you doing in our land?” the woman shouted at the two invading soldiers in the footage.

“Who are you?” the woman asked, to which one of the soldiers responded:  “We have exercises here. Please go this way.”

“Our discussion will lead to nothing,” said the other soldier.

As both soldiers tried to calm her down, the enraged woman shouted, “You’re occupants, you’re fascists! What the f— are you doing on our land with all these guns?”

The woman offered sunflower seeds to the soldiers, suggesting that flowers might bloom when they die in her country.

“Take these seeds and put them in your pockets, so at least sunflowers will grow when you all lie down here,” she said.

Ever since the video became viral, the woman has received praise online for her defiant stance against the Russians.

“What a courageous woman, standing up to tyranny like that,” said one user on Twitter.

“The bravery is amazing! Thank you! We stand with you!” another user tweeted.

Russian troops invaded Ukraine on Thursday after asserting its military might on the nation’s border for months. According to reports, at least 40 were killed and dozens wounded from explosions that occurred in major cities, including the capital of Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa.

On Friday morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a video thanking NATO for its support but urged the alliance to do more, as the country was left to fend for itself.

“We are alone in defending our country. Who is ready to defend us together with us? Honestly, I don’t see any,” said Zelensky. “Who is ready to give Ukraine a guarantee of joining NATO? Honestly, everyone is afraid.”

In response to the ongoing Russian invasion, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that it has activated its defense plans, allowing the alliance’s forces to be sent to wherever they are needed.

NATO will be deploying forces on land, at sea, and in the air, including thousands of troops, 120 allied ships, and over 100 jets to patrol the air space.
