Aerobotics is a South African company that uses AI to help fruit and nut farmers make more money by using its software and tools.

The African company has grown a lot over the years and can now be found in 18 countries. California has more than 70,000 farms and fields and is the home of Aerobotics.

The California Climate and Agriculture Network said, “The state has a lot to lose if the worst effects of climate change on agriculture are not avoided. This depends on the weather and the amount of water that is available.”

Artificial intelligence (AI) and aerobotics have helped them grow more food and deal with the lack of water.

“Food security is a global challenge, and everyone is being asked to do more with less,” said James Paterson, CEO of Aerobotics. Aerobotics helps the fruit and nut business make better decisions and get higher yields by using cutting-edge AI and a variety of image sources.

He went on to say that they work with a lot of different farmers and that their site has more than 600,000 acres of farmland. Every year, users put more than a million pictures on their website.

After seeing for himself how the weather could affect farms and crops, Paterson got the idea for the business. This is what made him want to start helping people with drones and AI. Farmers have access to smartphones and drones that have AI technology built in. This lets them check on their crops and use the technology to make sure the crops stay healthy.

Farmers save a lot of time because they can check their fields and see any pests or other problems with them right from their phones. Farmers can see individual crops and find out things like size and color, as well as quality issues like blemishes or bugs.
