There is some information getting out about the people running to be vice president, but Donald Trump doesn’t seem to mind. This short list of possible candidates has been shared with the public.
The leaks aren’t coming from Trump’s team, but they know that some names are being pushed by friends and strategists.
Many of the possible candidates are getting along, so Trump’s team sees the situation as a team effort. People have said that even if they don’t get the vice president job, those who don’t make it will still end up in the Cabinet or in another government job.
A lot of people have said in public that they want the job. Tim Scott, for example, has been interested since the beginning of his bid for president. Trump, on the other hand, has talked badly about him and said that the only black Republican in the Senate does a better job of representing him.
Doug Burgum, who is the governor of North Dakota, is another possible choice. Trump is said to like him. There is information in the news that Trump likes Burgum and thinks he should be nominated, but again, this information has not been proven.
Another person the news sites pushed was Marco Rubio. He lost to Trump in his first term, but he recently became more well-known after a successful event for donors. The only problem is that the running mates can’t be from the same state. Rubio said he would move out of state if he had to.
Donald Trump has also said bad things about people like J.D. Vance who seemed to back him. He has also said bad things about Nikki Haley and Ted Cruz, saying they would not be considered for the job at all.
Some people have said that they don’t care who wins because Trump will be in charge of running the country, so it doesn’t matter who gets the vice presidential ticket.
