House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman Rep. James Comer is demanding Biden family business associate Rob Walker to answer requests for an interview.
On Thursday, Kentucky Republican Comer requested a transcribed interview with Walker amid the latter’s alleged involvement with the Biden family’s illegal business dealings.
In an official memo released by the Oversight Committee, it was revealed that Biden family members have reportedly received more than $1.3 million in payments from accounts that were linked to Rob Walker.
“The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating President Biden’s involvement in his family’s business practices. The Committee has identified you as a critical witness in this matter and has reviewed evidence showing you received millions of dollars originating from a Chinese energy company and elsewhere. The Committee invites you to participate in a transcribed interview with Committee staff,” the letter reads.
According to the subpoenaed financial records, at least three Biden family members, including James, Hallie and Hunter Biden reportedly received payments from Robinson Walker LLC. The committee also discovered that the payments came after Walker received a $3 million wire from a Chinese energy company.
“Rob Walker is a key witness in our investigation of President Biden’s involvement in his family’s business schemes. After receiving a $3 million dollar payout from a Chinese energy company two months after Vice President Biden left office, Rob Walker then sent over a million dollars in incremental payments to Biden family accounts and a similar amount to another Biden family associate,” Oversight Committee Chair Comer said in the statement.
“These records reveal that the three parties likely all received a third of the money from China and it is unclear what services were provided in return. When speaking about dealings with the Biden family, Rob Walker once said that exposing him would ‘Bury all of us, man.’ Why? The Oversight Committee has many questions for Rob Walker and we look forward to getting answers for the American people,” the Republican added.
At the time of writing, Walker and the White House have not released their statements yet.
The newly released bank records have raised new questions about the Biden family’s suspicious business dealings which reportedly indicated that Walker received $3 million on March 1, 2017, two months after Joe Biden left office as vice president.
“Walker’s bank records show an earlier and smaller three-way division in 2015 of an international wire from an unknown source — with Gilliar, Walker and Hunter Biden each getting $59,900 — Comer’s office said Thursday, suggesting the CEFC business relationship may have started while Biden was still vice president,” New York Post reported.
