NFL goes back to normal, suspends Covid-19 protocols for 2022 season.

“Based on current encouraging trends regarding the prevalence and severity of COVID-19, the evolving guidance from the CDC, changes to state law and the counsel of our respective experts, the NFL and NFLPA have agreed to suspend all aspects of the joint COVID-19 Protocols.”, NLF wrote in a memo and sent to its teams.

Wearing of marks, testing among players, and tracking of devices among other protocols previously imposed are put to halt but the teams are still obliged to “comply with state and local law and are free to continue reasonable measures to protect their staff and players.”

Monitoring of individuals will continue on a daily basis prior to entering the club facility. Testing facility is still provided to respond possible reports on players or staff having covid-19 symptoms. Once tested positive, patients are required to isolate for at least five days and attend recovery as recommended, consistent with CDC guidance.
