US Vice President Kamala Harris was slammed for her hypocrisy after she was spotted hopping on a gas guzzling jet amid her advocacy against gas-fueled vehicles.
On Wednesday, Harris flew to the state of New York with a gas-fueled jet where she delivered a speech related to the topic of climate change.
“This morning, I’m heading to Buffalo, New York to highlight how we are taking climate action, thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act,” she tweeted.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz also tweeted on the same day and said, “Today, I have the honor of greeting @VP Kamala Harris on the tarmac after her arrival at the @BUFAirport for her visit and speech at @UBuffalo. Waiting in the motorcade now for Air Force Two’s arrival.”
“The @VP’s plane has landed and now we are waiting to greet her once she has deplaned. I will be joined by @MayorByronBrown in welcoming her to Buffalo, Erie County and WNY, more commonly known now as #BillsNation,” he added in another tweet, containing a photo of the aircraft.

Moreover, during Harris’ speech on Wednesday, she claimed that “Your generation knows the threat of the climate crisis, because you have lived it. And for your entire lives thus far, you have seen our nation fail to act with the urgency this crisis demands,”
Following her visit, University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi released a statement following Harris’ visit, saying, “It was an incredible privilege to host Vice President Kamala Harris at UB for this historic visit.”
“We are honored that the White House chose to come to UB to promote the administration’s investment in climate action through the Inflation Reduction Act, and we were fortunate to have the opportunity to share with the vice president the meaningful ways that our students and faculty are bringing their research and scholarship to bear on one of the most monumental challenges of our time,” the president added.
“Indeed, UB’s selection for the vice president’s visit speaks to both our longstanding commitment to the environment and climate science and our national and international reputation in these domains.” Tripathi continued.
However, despite the praises, the vice president is no stranger to such displays of hypocrisy.
Last year in October, the vice president was also criticized following an incident showing an incredible irony of Harris boarding an airplane in order to travel to deliver a speech related to the “climate crisis.”
“Today I’m heading to Lake Mead in Nevada to discuss the climate crisis–and why we must make historic investments to not only create jobs, but preserve our planet for generations to come.” Harris tweeted at that time.
