Leftists are upset over Elon Musk buying Twitter for $44 billion and the Tesla CEO has just the right tweet to clap back at them.
The soon-to-be-owner of Twitter tweeted a meme last week showing his political views changing from center-left to center-right, possibly because liberals have taken things too far in recent years with their nonproblems.

Republican leaders celebrated Musk’s acquisition, with Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio tweeting: “Free speech is making a comeback.”
Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee also shared her delight on Twitter, saying: “Today is an encouraging day for freedom of speech. I am hopeful that Elon Musk will help rein in Big Tech’s history of censoring users that have a different viewpoint.”
Conservatives have been suspended or banned through the years for simply expressing their thoughts, including former President Donald Trump, who was removed from Twitter following his alleged role in the U.S. Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.
Meanwhile, Democratic lawmakers aren’t happy with Musk buying the social media platform that has coddled them for too long, arguing that Musk could have spent his money in better ways.
“Just a reminder that from 2014-2018, Elon Musk paid an effective tax rate of 3.27%. The average working family pays an average tax rate of 13%. It’s time for a wealth tax in this country,” Representative Jayapal of Washington tweeted.
Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts also said that the deal could harm democracy, as billionaires like Musk play by their own rules.
“This deal is dangerous for our democracy. Billionaires like Elon Musk play by a different set of rules than everyone else, accumulating power for their own gain. We need a wealth tax and strong rules to hold Big Tech accountable,” she tweeted.
Musk reached an agreement to buy Twitter last Monday, promising to privatize the company as he believes that it’s not living up to its potential as a platform for free speech.
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” he said in a joint statement with Twitter.
