A female cruise ship passenger was trapped inside a Norwegian encore cruise ship’s massive water slide, overlooking the ocean.
In a video clip that recently went viral on tiktok, a woman was reportedly seen getting stuck in a cruise ship’s closed-tube water slide, overlooking the ocean off the Mexican coast.
According to the reports, the woman was suspended terrifyingly over the ocean after she attempted to enjoy the slide but wasn’t able to through the corkscrew and plunges backward.
The video quickly went viral and generated millions of views after it was shared by a travel agency and a certified cruise counselor named “YMG Travels” with a caption, “When the looping slide fails.”
The incident reportedly occurred in Norwegian encore cruise ship’s water slide “that sends sliders plummeting from the top deck and shooting out over the sea before curving back to the base like a watery roller coaster.”
Moreover, the woman was fortunately able to exit from the slide’s emergency door with assistance of the ship’s staff.
“The lady was not stuck in the water slide for long. There is a side door for the slide and she was out of it immediately.” the travel agency claimed.
After the video went viral, the woman who got trapped was identified as Paige Hodgson. She then shared her experience with the media.
“kept getting stuck because apparently, I was too light and small to make it all the way around.” Hodgson stated.
“However, I’ve seen smaller people complete the slide. It’s an absolute mystery as to why I failed so many times, even the staff were baffled.” Hodgson explained.
