The Republican National Committee (RNC) has criticized President Joe Biden for visiting foreign war zones more often instead of dealing with his country’s own problems.
According to Tommy Pigott, RNC director of strategic communications, the White House is touting Biden’s visits to warring nations.
He cited White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates’ recent statement that said that the president “has now visited two active war zones in eight months ― two more than all the previous presidents combined.’”
Pigott, however, begged to differ and debunked Bates’ claim that Biden’s predecessors did not frequently visit Afghanistan and Iraq, adding that the whole ordeal is “nothing to brag about.”
“As put by Obama Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Biden ‘has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.’ Unfortunately for the American people, it’s an infamous tradition Biden has carried into his presidency,” he said — noting examples of these policies in Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Asia and on the southern U.S. border,” Pigott wrote on the social media platform X.
“This is what the Biden administration is bragging about: a world in chaos. Here’s the point: America, and the free world, can’t risk four more years of Joe Biden,” he concluded.
Biden’s recent visit was to Israel after the terrorist organization Hamas attacked Israel and invaded towns along the Gaza border earlier last month, killing at least 700 people.
The attack prompted Israel to declare war against the terrorist group with a ruthless aerial campaign that has flattened homes, schools, medical institutions, and government buildings in the Gaza Strip.
During his visit, Biden met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where they both highlighted the atrocities committed by the terrorist organization and discussed their impact on Israeli children.
“I was outraged by the bombing of the hospital yesterday. Based on what I’ve seen, it was done by the other team. Not you,” the president said to Netanyahu. “But there’s a lot of people out there who are not sure.”
“The world is looking. Israel has a value set like the United States does and other democracies and they’re looking to see what we’re going to do,” he added.
