White House Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sparked criticisms after she refused to respond to questions on Chinese payments to Hunter Biden.

On Wednesday, Jean-Pierre was grilled by the media after new documents revealed that US President Joe Biden’s family members have received over $1 million from an associate who reportedly entered into a business with a Chinese energy company.

During the press conference, Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy questioned Jean-Pierre what the Biden family members were paid for through the said transaction.

“Look, I’m not going to respond to that from here. Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years now – the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue,” the White House press secretary responded.

“And I don’t even know where to begin to even answer that question because again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple of years and I’m just not going to get into it from here,” Jean-Pierre added.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy: “House Oversight says they’ve got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members … What were they paid for?”

The US President Joe Biden was also questioned by the media on Friday, regarding the same allegation as he was departing the White House for Delaware. In response to the questions, Biden made it clear that the allegations were “not true.”

Amid the controversy, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee put out a report on Thursday, showing multiple bank records, showing Hunter Biden’s business associate John R. Walker’s transactions.

According to the records, Walker had received a $3 million wire transfer from Chinese State Energy HK Limited, a firm affiliated with CEFC China Energy

“Walker then distributed $1.3 million to accounts associated with Hunter Biden, Beau’s widow and Hunter’s girlfriend Hallie Biden and the president’s brother in 2017,” Daily Mail reported.

The revelation comes as the House Oversight Committee, under the chairmanship of Kentucky Republican Rep. James Comer investigates US President Joe Biden’s family influence peddling since the GOP took over the House in January.

According to Daily Mail, the “probe is mostly focused on Hunter Biden, who started entering into foreign business deals while his father was still serving as vice president. However, the committee also uncovered a $35,000 payment to Hallie, who dated Hunter Biden after the death of her husband Beau Biden in 2015.”

In the letter Comer wrote to Walker, the former claimed that the panel “is investigating President Biden’s involvement in his family’s business practices’ and ‘has identified you as a critical witness in this matter and has reviewed evidence showing you received millions of dollars originating from a Chinese energy company and elsewhere.”
