The Biden administration is firing unvaccinated Border Patrol agents while allowing unvaccinated illegal immigrants to enter the U.S., according to a Republican senator.
During an interview with Fox News, Senate Republican Conference Chair Senator John Barrasso said that “border agents have been fired for not being vaccinated.”
“The double standards, we’re seeing them at the border right now,” Barrasso said. “But yet, President Biden has this open-door policy allowing 2 million illegal immigrants into the country last year, at a time he is firing our Border Patrol agents who are trying to enforce the law and keep us safe.”

The senator also condemned President Joe Biden for seeking additional funding for COVID-19 relief, arguing that it has caused the rapid inflation Americans are currently experiencing.
“The administration’s asking for more money. There’s still $160 billion that hasn’t been spent in the so-called COVID relief bill from last year, where only 9% of the money actually went for COVID and a lot of the money went for other liberal things,” Barrasso said.
Barrasso previously said in other interviews this week that Biden’s approval rating will drop due to the record-high inflation and soaring gas prices, which it already had.
A survey released by NBC News on Sunday revealed that the president’s approval rating stands at just 40 percent, a three percent drop since January and a historic low for Biden since he took office.
This indicates that an increasing number of Americans are losing trust in the president, including fellow party members who have left Biden behind as they lift his administration’s abrasive health restrictions.
Democrats are fearing that the dissatisfaction with the Biden administration could cost them their majority in Congress during the November 8 midterm elections.
“What this poll says is that President Biden and Democrats are headed for a catastrophic election,” said Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinions Strategy.
McInturff helped conduct the survey with Democrat Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates between March 18 and March 22. Horwitt noted that the ongoing war in Ukraine is not doing Biden any favors.
“One thing that has not happened — at least yet — is a rally-around-the-flag reaction with Joe Biden’s job rating increasing,” Horwitt said. “The potential for that to occur could still happen if America becomes more directly involved, but at this stage it is not there.”
