Former US President Donald Trump warned Americans that China has “many thousands of spies working in the United States,” in reality.
The former President also blasted current US President Joe Biden over several issues, including the latter’s classified documents scandal.
Recently, former President Trump released a video, claiming that “It’s rarely even mentioned that China has many thousands of spies working in the United States in business, finance, academia, technology, media, and, likely, even government, very sadly.”
Trump also blasted current President Biden and linked the latter to China.
According to Trump, after he “established a special initiative at the Department of Justice tasked with the sole mission of targeting Chinese espionage in the United States,” Biden reportedly “terminated that program right away, suggesting that it was somehow racist.”
The former President also cited several “published reports,” where it was reported that President Biden made this decision “shortly after 160 faculty members of the University of Pennsylvania–home of the now-infamous Biden Center – wrote to [U.S. Attorney General] Merrick Garland and demanded that the Chinese espionage initiative be shut down immediately.”
Moreover, former President Trump also went on to argue that, given this background, the “Congress needs to dig deep into the financial operations of the University of Pennsylvania, its Chinese donors, the Biden Center, and the Biden family and figure out what the hell is going on.”
This comes amid Trump’s statement, calling for the United States to shoot down the Chinese spy balloon.
In a separate social media post, the former President made it very clear what he would do if he were still the President of the US, demanding the Biden administration to “SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!”
In an exclusive interview published by the Conservative Institute, the media outlet reported that “Trump, in his video statement, went on to explain how he will hold China accountable and put a stop to Chinese espionage should he retake the U.S. presidency in 2024.”
Trump’s controversial statements came after the alleged Chinese spy balloon was discovered to be hovering over U.S. airspace.
Amid the controversy, China released an official statement, claiming that “the balloon is nothing more than a civilian weather balloon that has veered off course. But, the U.S. Pentagon appears fairly certain that it is actually a Chinese surveillance balloon,” the report added.
