Former US President Donald Trump blasted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and called him “Meatball Ron” on Monday.
During an interview with the media, Trump opened up about his “Trump Force One” project en route to Davenport, Iowa for his upcoming 2024 Presidential campaign.
The former President took aim at DeSantis several times while speaking at the historic Adler Theater in downtown Davenport, alleging that the Florida governor was bad on handling important concerns the state has been facing.
“You have to remember Ron was a disciple of Paul Ryan,” Trump said, calling the former GOP House speaker a “RINO loser who is currently destroying Fox.”
“To be honest with you, Ron also reminds me a lot of Mitt Romney,” Trump added.
When you realize that:
Trump is attacking DeSantis.
The White House and Biden are attacking DeSantis.
Nikki Haley and her disingenuous remarks attacking DeSantis.
DeSantis HAS TO BE DOING SOMETHING WORTH TAKING NOTICE OF.

Romney is known for serving Utah as the senator and for being a vocal critic of Donald Trump regarding the Capitol Hill issue. However, he lost the 2012 presidential election to the Republicans.
Trump’s statement came after DeSantis announced last week that he was planning to visit Iowa as part of his book tour where everyone believes, he’ll eventually announce a bid.
In a report published by the Daily Mail, it was revealed that “DeSantis made stops in Davenport and Des Moines, with Trump announcing he was heading to Davenport on the heels of the Florida governor saying he would be there. Upon arriving in the Hawkeye State, Trump and his entourage stopped at the Machine Shed Restaurant, a barbecue restaurant near the Davenport airport.”
“There he posed with pies and took selfies with diners, as the historic Adler Theater in downtown Davenport filled up with MAGA faithful,” the report added.
Amid the controversy, Donald Trump’s campaign’s spokesperson told Daily Mail that the former President “picked up food for others, but didn’t get dinner for himself.l
Meanwhile, only two candidates, including Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy “have announced a 2024 bid against the ex-president so far, but on the plane Trump acknowledged that DeSantis was probably his biggest threat for the nomination,” Daily Mail reported.
“I would say probably so, but you never know what happens, it could change,” Trump said.
