The Secret Service allegedly spent $30,000 worth of Taxpayers’ money so they could rent an estate in Malibu to protect Hunter Biden.
According to the recent reports released on Monday, a former Secret Service agent revealed that the “setup is the cost of doing business for the Secret Agency,” and just like other presidential family members, “Hunter is entitled to round-the-clock security.”
The former agent also revealed that Hunter Biden had been living in a “resort-style” home with “enchanting” panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean in the upscale celebrity enclave of Malibu.
“Typically, wherever a protectee sets up their residence, the Secret Service is forced to find someplace to rent nearby at market value,” retired agent Don Mihalek said.
He also added that the agency had also been renting properties at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware and Wilmington to “protect” President Biden on his “frequent weekend trips home.”
”This isn’t new. The service has had to do this in past administrations, and unfortunately, the housing market right now has driven the prices up substantially.” The former agent added.
In the report published by the ABC, the news agency described the mansion as a “resort-styled” home with three bathrooms, four bedrooms and an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, and a chef’s kitchen, featuring a “spacious park-like yard” with a barbecue bar, pool and a spa.
Moreover, when asked to comment regarding the recent controversy, a representative for Hunter Biden refused to respond.
The White House also refused to give further details and stated, “due to the need to maintain operational security, the US Secret Service does not comment on the means, methods, or resources used to conduct our protective operations.”
