Russian President Vladimir Putin was dragged and exposed for his shady billions after leaked documents alleged the president is connected with a network holding property, vineyards and yachts worth nearly £4billion.
Corruption allegations against President Putin resurfaced as the media suggested that the alleged Ukraine invader may be one of the world’s richest men with a net worth of up to £160billion.
In a report published by The Sun, the media revealed that Putin’s wealth is believed to “be comparable to the £170bn fortune of Elon Musk, and is thought to exceed the £135bn and £120bn of Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.”
“Putin is understood to be inseparable from the Russian state – and he has vast holdings in oil and gas which he obtained from his cronies and through corruption.” The Sun stated in a report.
“Kremlin officials always deny reports of the tyrant’s extraordinary wealth, instead insisting he lives modestly on a comparatively paltry salary of £70,000,” the report added.
However, more alleged evidence is coming out including some data from the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and Russian news site Meduza which have released a paper trial that could reportedly provide an insight into Putin’s suspected fortune.
According to the reports, digital records all using the common email domain name – LLCInvest.ru insinuated that the Russian president has been buying luxury properties across Russia and is allegedly hiding behind a number of companies.
Investigators revealed Putin’s connection with some of the firms behind the purchases which were connected by the common domain.
Moreover, documents also revealed that the LLCInvest.ru emails seemed to be connected to 86 different organizations and companies operated by telecoms company Moskomsvyaz, which has close links to Bank Rossiya, which is under sanction by the West and described by the US as the “personal bank for senior officials of the Russian Federation”.
Furthermore, newly uncovered evidence allegedly showed Putin’s connection to a £1billion palace on the shores of the Black Sea. According to the reports, it has a spa, a bar, a swimming pool, saunas, a theater, a cinema, a wine cellar and a casino.
In addition, the alleged Vlad’s mansion also includes an arboretum, a stripper pole, a guest house, its own petrol station and a helipad.
