Some experts have called what President Biden did his “biggest mistake” because it led to a stronger relationship between Russia and China.
A senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation named Michael Pillsbury said that this “shocking” relationship would never have happened if Trump had been president. People say that President Biden’s “faulty foreign policy” is to blame for the relationship.
“Basically… we’re seeing what former President Trump was trying to do with China when he called himself ‘Tariff Man’ to get leverage over China to help us in various ways,” Pillsbury said.
That’s not going to happen with Biden, and trying to bring together Russia and China, which are both nuclear powers, is a huge mistake.
“To see them come together like this is just shocking to me,” Pillsbury said about the military fears. “The Russians had a million army troops built up on the Chinese border for a while.” I think it’s one of the worst mistakes I’ll ever see.
Putin went to Beijing to meet with Xi Jinping and talk about current events like the war in Ukraine, Taiwan, and other topics connected to the war. They stood by each other and talked about a “new era” relationship.
The United States and China are at odds with each other more than ever because of the higher taxes that the Biden administration has put on Chinese goods. Biden has said many times that China has let itself make too many things, like electric cars, so it can sell them for less money. This could be a big problem for electric cars owned by Americans.
Because the U.S. is supporting Ukraine and there are other problems with Russia because of this, this partnership is interesting but very risky for the U.S.
