Butt was “shot multiple times in the chest” when the officers arrived to find the victim. Paramedics then rushed him to the Metropolitan Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect, described as a Black male, wearing a green jacket, tan pants and brown boots, fled on foot, police said.
As of now, the injured woman who reportedly walked into Metropolitan Hospital on her own is currently in a stable condition.
Authorities identified Butt as a member of the Broad Day Shooters gang and previously shot on July 19. However, when the police asked him where the shooting happened, he told them, “F–k you,” police sources said.
