In a surprising turn of events, nine Fox News employees have chosen to depart from the network in order to join Tucker Carlson on his new Twitter program.
Chadwick Moore, the author of an upcoming biography on Carlson, shared this information through a series of tweets, unveiling the exodus from Fox News to work with their former colleague.
The first notable departure was that of Alex McCaskill, a longtime Fox producer who was fired by the network due to a controversial chyron that referred to President Biden as a “wannabe dictator.” Moore announced that McCaskill would soon be reuniting with Carlson on his new venture.
In a tweet on Saturday, Moore wrote, “The Based Chyron Guy, Alex McCaskill, was a former Tucker Carlson Tonight producer who has now left Fox News after ten years, en route to joining Tucker’s new team,” adding that “He is one of at least three former producers who have left Fox to join Tucker’s new venture.”
My sources have now told me *NINE* former Tucker Carlson Tonight staffers have left Fox News to join Tucker on his next venture. There are others who are waiting to leave as soon as a role opens up for them with Tucker. Each of the 9 approached Tucker, not the other way around.— Chadwick Moore (@Chadwick_Moore) June 17, 2023
“Tucker Carlson’s team at Fox was extremely close. Most of them were there from the launch of the show until it’s end, and they’ve stood by their boss in the aftermath. I write about it in my book,” Moore wrote in a follow-up tweet.
“Also, quietly, many familiar faces from Tucker Carlson Tonight are refusing to appear on Fox News since Tucker was bizarrely pulled off the air—and not just the ones who got blacklisted for writing a book about him!” the biographer added.
Shortly after this revelation, Moore added that more Fox News employees were following suit and leaving the network to join Carlson. The exact number and identities of these employees have not been disclosed, leaving room for speculation and anticipation within the media industry.
“My sources have now told me *NINE* former Tucker Carlson Tonight staffers have left Fox News to join Tucker on his next venture. There are others who are waiting to leave as soon as a role opens up for them with Tucker. Each of the 9 approached Tucker, not the other way around.” Moore claimed.
Carlson’s Twitter program has experienced unprecedented success since its inception. The debut episode of “Tucker On Twitter” surpassed even Carlson’s already high ratings at Fox News, which were renowned as the highest in cable news. The first episode garnered a staggering 80 million views within a mere 24-hour period.
