A complaint filed by the Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) claims that the National Archives holds approximately 5,400 emails during Joe Biden’s term as vice president, during which he is accused of using three email addresses with fictitious names to communicate with his son and others about official matters.
From email accounts [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected], the National Archives (NARA) has estimated 5,138 email messages, 25 electronic files, and 200 other records linked to Biden’s vice presidential records, according to a letter from NARA to the SLF obtained by the New York Post.
Instructions were given to refrain from mentioning President Biden by name. To Tony Bobulinski, then Hunter’s business partner, James Gilliar sent an email outlining the rules, telling him not to bring up the former vice president’s involvement in any deals.
Therefore, the proposed 10% reduction on a transaction with a Chinese energy company would not go to “Mr. Biden.” It was “the Big Guy” who would also get benefits from foreign sources, such as office space.
A recent FBI document revealed that a reliable source conveyed a bribery allegation where a Ukrainian businessman claimed he was instructed not to give money directly to “the Big Guy” but to use an intricate system of accounts instead.
It remains unclear if Joe Biden was the “Robert L. Peters” who appeared in those communications.
SLF submitted another Freedom of Information Act request in 2022. They filed the case, arguing that the NARA has not turned over even one email since that request.
SLF General Counsel Kimberly Hermann stated that Americans deserve to know what is in them.
Braden Boucek, the director of SLF Litigation, stated that public openness is the most important protection the people have for holding the political class responsible. The NARA’s continuous, unjustified delays have prompted SLF to launch this complaint after seeking to cooperate with them for more than a year.
The complaint comes as the House Oversight Committee is still looking into Hunter Biden’s international business transactions, with a clear emphasis on whether those dealings affected or benefited then-Vice President Joe Biden’s policy judgments.
As the White House declared, the president and his son never engaged in business together.
