Liberals slammed the New York Post over its report on the US President’s “verbal fumbles.”
Many on the left blasted the media outlet on Tuesday after releasing a report, targeting the President over his two “verbal fumbles” as he talked about the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
During the president’s speech at a campaign stop in Miami Gardens, Florida, he reportedly confused the Russian-Ukrainian war with the U.S. war in Iraq and attempted to explain it but falsely claimed that his son died in the Iraq War.
“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq and the impact on oil and what Russia is doing,” the president said.
“Excuse me, the war in Ukraine,” Biden corrected himself before adding, “I think of Iraq because that’s where my son died.”
Reports revealed that his son, Beau Biden served in Iraq but died of cancer in 2015 after returning to the United States.
The article was then tweeted out by NYT journalist Maggie Haberman which sparked outrage among several liberals on social media especially after she turned off the tweet’s comment section.
“The cowardly Trumphuffer turned off her comments,” one netizen responded.
“How many times did Trump verbally fumble and/or spew word salad that she never once felt compelled to write an entire article on? Maggie Haberman is a thoroughly dishonest, untrustworthy, completely biased propagandist. She is not a journalist, and she has zero credibility,” another critic lamented.
“As a Speech Language Pathologist who works with kids who stutter, I’d just like to take this moment to tell @maggieNYT to F*** Right Off,” read another comment.
“Meanwhile you are Trump’s ‘psychiatrist’ per him. Go p*** up a rope,” another critic who identified herself as a feminist, blasted.
“Completely chickens**t cowardly move by MaggieButHerEmails Haberman to not allow comments on her little hate piece. I expect nothing less,” one netizen added.
“Magpie limited who could respond to this swill scooped up from her toilet,” another tweet said.
Meanwhile, other netizens also predicted that it was just the beginning for Biden’s health troubles.
“This is only the beginning. After the bloodbath that is coming, the Times is going to do a full story with White House sources on Biden’s decline,” commentator Erick Erickson said.
