The House Judiciary Committee field hearing was in chaos after left-wing protestors disrupted it while holding “Jim Jordan Insurrectionist” signs.
During the field hearing in New York City on Monday, leftists caused chaos in response to the committee’s decision to examine the impacts of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s policies on the victims of violent crime in the city.
In a report published by Patriot Alerts, it was revealed that “The hearing was intended to investigate how these policies, which many perceive as being pro-crime and anti-victim, have contributed to an increase in violent crime and created an unsafe environment for residents of New York City.”
However, the same hearing sparked another controversy after the leftists started making remarks, calling House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan an “insurrectionist.”
Amid the chaos, with the hall field with a raucous crowd, Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) seemed to struggle, managing multiple interruptions from the audience and protestors.
Jordan began his speech with an opening remark, stating that “Today’s hearing is about the administration of justice and keeping communities safe, something that has always been a central focus of the House Judiciary Committee.”

“As we all know, fairness under the law is a bedrock principle of American democracy. In this country, justice is supposed to be blind, regardless of race, religion or creed. However, here in Manhattan, the scales of justice are weighed down by politics. For the district attorney, justice isn’t blind — it’s about looking for opportunities to advance a political agenda, a radical political agenda.” Jordan added.
Amid the chaotic hearing, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D), who is prosecuting Trump has also faced a series of complaints from both the GOP and Democratic parties, with the former, lamenting against the increasing crime rates in the city.
In response to the complaints, Bragg’s office issued a striking statement, pushing back on GOP claims that the city is overwhelmed by crime.
“D.A. Bragg is reducing crime in Manhattan, reversing a tough spike that began before he even took office. Virtually, every major crime category is lower in Manhattan now than it was last year. During the first quarter of 2023 the NYPD reported steep declines in most major crime categories, including murder, rape, robbery, and burglary,” a spokesperson for the office wrote said in a statement after the hearing.
“For outside politicians to now appear in New York City on the taxpayer dime for a political stunt is a slap in the face to the dedicated NYPD officers, prosecutors and other public servants who work tirelessly every day with facts and data to keep our home safe,” the spokesperson added in the statement.
