Two years ago, former President Donald Trump captured the hearts of Latinos and won the state of Florida after Democrats largely took Latinos’ votes in Miami for granted.
As they’re preparing with the aim to win the upcoming election this year, Democrats have reportedly been attempting to resolve the issue.
For instance, the Democrats have started releasing a roadmap showing a drafting of political messaging that aims to swing voters like advertising in Hispanic communities and increasing the funding for Latino engagement.
Just this March, Rep. Charlie Crist, who campaigns against Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis reportedly met with the local businesspeople, elected representatives, and union workers in Puerto Rico for three days.

Agriculture Secretary Nikki Fried also hired Evelyn Pérez-Verda, a longstanding Democratic strategist, specializing in misinformation in Spanish, “as a previous campaign recruit.”
However, despite their efforts to win the hearts of the Latinos, Mike Pence, the 48th US Vice President blasted the Democrats for their movements.
“It’s remarkable to think that at a time of unbridled growth & prosperity for Latino Americans, Democrats will gather tomorrow night here in Miami to begin to make their case for higher taxes, socialized medicine, & the Green New Deal. America will NEVER be a socialist country!” Pence tweeted.
Moreover, experts believe that this new technique won’t be effective and President Joe Biden isn’t helping the cause.
Former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz, who is also a Cuban American, argued that if Democrats want to win, focusing on the border problems like healthcare and economics should be done as it is part of repairing Democrats’ connection with Latino individuals.
