Famous actor Mark Wahlberg decided to put his family first and moved his family from a million dollar mansion in California to give them a “better life.”
The “Father Stu” star revealed that he had packed his things up and decided to move his family out of California, leaving his $90 million California mansion as he tries to balance his family and his career.
In an interview during the episode of “The Talk” on Tuesday, Wahlberg opened up about the “biggest challenge” he has been facing while trying to balance his career and being a family man.
“I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there,” the actor said.
“So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.” Wahlberg explained.

The 51-year old famous actor, Wahlberg shares four children; Ella, 18; Michael, 16; Brendan, 13; and Grace, 12, with his wife of 13 years, Rhea Durham.
Just last April, Wahlberg posted his Beverly Hills home and listed it for sale for a whopping $87.5 million.
According to the reports, the actor had purchased the colossal 30,500-square-foot estate for only $8.25 million way back in 2009.
“The mansion features 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms along with a home theater, a wine cellar, a five-hole golf course, a tennis court, a skate park and a separate guest house,” the list read.
Moreover, after the actor decided to leave his property in The Golden State, the “Uncharted” actor reportedly secured another estate in Nevada for his family and purchased a home in Summerlin, located just outside of Las Vegas, for $15.6M in July, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
“We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s a lot of opportunity here. I’m really excited about the future,” Wahlberg explained.
Wahlberg also revealed that he has been planning on building a “state-of-the-art studio” in his new pad, making it “Hollywood 2.0.” He also added that he’s hoping to build “a shoe factory and a factory for Municipal,” the sports apparel company he co-founded in 2019.
