However, it all ended after the prisoner got into a vehicular accident, crashing the stolen Porsche that he used during a high-speed police chase in Texas.

The controversy arose after 31-year old Tyler Payne and 41-year old Thomas Cofer escaped from from the Choctaw County jail in Oklahoma through the roof in November.

In an exclusive report released by the WBAP, the duo reportedly made their way to Frisco, Texas following the escape.

The charges arose after the two got involved in robbery and carjacking last year.

According to the Frisco police, on November 14, two women had their purse stolen by runaways while they were out shopping. One of the victims was a 71 year old woman who was dragged to the floor after her bag strapped around her neck while the thief was trying to take it from her, causing her cuts and bruises.

Both Payne and Cofer were arrested after the former car-jacked a grandparent in Mississippi while dropping a child off at school.

After they got convicted, authorities discovered that Payne was missing during a prison headcount last Christmas. The authorities revealed that he, together with 36- year old Treverro McElroy fled Hinds County jail in Raymond. Meanwhile, his original partner in crime, Cofer, was not part of the second jailbreak.

According to the Hinds County sheriff, the two wanted men reportedly went to a church nearby and stole a van which was later recovered from “a body of water” in Texas.

“A witness reported a [white male] pushing the van into the water,” the sheriff claimed.

Payne then returned to Frisco on January 10 where he allegedly stole a Cadillac SUV. He continued his criminal spree and stole a Porsche in Dallas the same day.

The hot pursuit rook place down I-35 as several police agencies attempted to track. The police chase only ended after the sports car that Payne was driving crashed on the highway.

While being detained, at the time of writing, Payne is currently in a Texas hospital and is currently facing multiple new charges.

Meanwhile, McElroy, his crime spree partner in the second escape, remains on the run as of Friday.
