A group of armed robbers with accomplice, posing as a Candyman broke into a California woman’s home on Monday.

According to the reports, the robbery took place around 2 p.m. on Monday in Stockton, about 59 miles south of Sacramento where the accomplice pretended to be a Candyman vendor, made his pitch to the woman before they broke into her house and demanded money.

“They’re bold, bold and ruthless and especially doing it in broad daylight,” a neighbor who didn’t want to be identified said.

According to the police, the victim’s doorbell video captured the terrifying moment where the woman appeared to hand over the money before the three men rushed inside the house and grabbed some of her belongings before they took off.

Another resident also said that a few minutes earlier before the robbery took place to the woman’s house, the suspects appeared at his door but he didn’t answer.

“We have the ‘No Solicitors’ sign, so it’s kind of like, you know, he came but he didn’t acknowledge it. It kind of gave me an indication that something was wrong but not out of the ordinary,” the neighbor said.

“Normally, when kids sell candy, it’s for school fundraisers. You see that in elementary and middle school maybe, but it’s kind of odd for someone in his 20s to be selling candy,” another unidentified resident added.

As of now, no arrest has been made and the robbery remains under investigation.
