The Justice Department is accused of covering up the Biden family amid controversy that arose from The Post’s 2020 exposé on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
In an exclusive report published by Daily Mail, it was revealed that the US Justice Department is being challenged for its involvement in the censorship of sensitive documents that show Hunter and Jim Biden’s alleged illegal business dealings with China, Russia and Ukraine.
According to the report, a Colorado lawyer filed a lawsuit, alleging that the DOJ has concealed 400 pages of ‘sensitive documents’ that show “bare payoffs and gifts to Hunter and Jim Biden from China, Russia and Ukraine – after acknowledging the papers exist.”
The lawyer also accused the department of attempting to prevent the leaking of 400 pages of sensitive documents on Hunter and Jim Biden’s dealings under their father, Joe Biden’s presidency, by pretending that they don’t exist.

In March, under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Colorado lawyer Kevin Evans reportedly sued the department after the DOJ failed to comply with his request for records on the Bidens’ dealings.
The Daily Mail identified Evans as an FOIA expert, who reportedly requested for documents that pertained to “any relationship, communication, gift(s), and/or remuneration in any form’ between the president’s son Hunter or brother Jim, and China, Russia or Ukraine.”
According to Evans, the government lawyers initially confessed to having at least 400 pages of ‘potentially relevant’ documents in court. However, they are now “trying to get away with saying they can ‘neither confirm nor deny’ the existence of any records that match his request,” Daily Mail added.
“A Justice Department prosecutor, David Weiss, is currently considering a criminal case against Hunter with potential allegations of money laundering, illegal foreign lobbying and tax crimes in relation to the First Son’s overseas business dealings,” the report continued.
The 400 pages are not the only records that are being sought from the government.
In the report published by the Business Insider this month, it was also revealed that the National National Archives and Records Administration is also preparing to disclose hundreds of White House internal documents under the Obama administration when Joe Biden was the country’s vice president, with responsibility for relations with Ukraine.
Allegedly, the documents contained information regarding Hunter’s relationship with controversial Ukrainian gas company Burisma after he was exposed for serving on the board of Burisma where was getting paid $83,000 per month.
Although the Biden’s administration successfully vetoed the release of the documents, the President still has a chance whether he would invoke his executive privilege to keep them hidden until 2029.
Moreover, Evans’ case has its next hearing in January.
According to the Colorado-based lawyer, “he filed his FOIA request in November 2020 after reading about the Bidens’ overseas business dealings, and the Justice Department strung him along for almost two years before he eventually sued them,” Daily Mail reported.
“They eventually produced about 60 pages of documents, but they’re all letters from senators and congressmen asking about Hunter, and letters from DoJ back. Then towards the end of last year they said, ”well we have these 400 pages of potentially responsive documents, we need to review them.” Evans said.
“In March I filed suit, and before Magistrate Judge Michael Hegarty they made the same representation: they’ve done a thorough search, they’ve uncovered 400 potentially responsive documents,” he added.
