A clip of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ strange answer to a query about a potential candidacy for president has been circulating on social media.
DeSantis responded by making odd facial expressions and turning away from the reporter who brought up his declining poll numbers. “I’m not a candidate, so we’ll see if and when that changes,” he declared.
Social media users cruelly criticized the video, with some drawing comparisons between his peculiar head movements and Hillary Clinton’s corresponding facial expressions. DeSantis and Clinton are contrasted in a video created by a Twitter user and termed it as “The Globalist Shake.”
Trump’s remarks echo his earlier criticism of DeSantis, who he dubbed a “RINO globalist” in February. RINO is an abbreviation for Republican in Name Only. DeSantis retaliated on Trump, who pointed out that he won the last election.
Meanwhile, the Floridian Governor is on a tour that also takes him to South Korea, the United Kingdom, and Israel.
The Republican Governor might be relieved to be abroad as Trump is crushing him by holding his largest decisive poll lead to date. On April 25, a Morning Consult poll gave Trump a 37% advantage. Although DeSantis is still in second place, his support has significantly decreased. The same poll gives him a 21% rating.
DeSantis is routinely criticized by Donald Trump, who recently released a calendar listing all the days the governor has missed while representing Florida. DeSantis left Florida 22 times in two months, according to the calendar.
DeSantis was made fun of by Trump on his Truth social media page.
“The ‘Consultants’ are sending DeSanctus, and demanding he go immediately, on an emergency Round the World tour of US representative population countries, like South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Israel, in order to up his game and see if he can remove the stain from his failing campaign,” he posted.
The two countries’ conflict intensified when DeSantis called Russian President Vladimir Putin a war criminal. Trump argued that the act made by DeSantis was irresponsible and Russia should be treated with respect, if there is any chance for peace in the area.
