A top Catholic group slams US President Joe Biden and revealed their plans as they rip the administration with a $1 million campaign amid the recent attacks against the Catholic church following the Supreme Court’s reversal of the abortion case Roe v. Wade.
The campaign is reportedly set to urge President Joe Biden to be more like the last Catholic president, John F. Kennedy, and condemn the series of attacks made by pro-choice protesters against the Catholics.
In a new campaign ad, the group CatholicVote told its viewers about an outbreak of church burnings in the early 1960s where former president Kennedy said, “To burn churches, I consider both cowardly as well as outrageous.”
However, since the Supreme Court’s recent decision against abortion, US President Biden reportedly started encouraging the protests against pro-birth pregnancy centers ran by the church and Catholic churches that reportedly caused the recent 200 attacks.
In the report published by the group on their official page, they revealed that “Catholic churches were not exempt from mobs that destroyed property in cities across America.”
“Since civil unrest began on May 28, 2020, there have been at least 208 attacks against Catholic churches in the United States, including arson attacks which damaged or destroyed historic churches; spray-painting and graffiti of satanic messages; rocks and bricks thrown through windows; and statues destroyed (often with heads cut off).” The group reported.
“A new spate of at least 70 attacks has occurred since the draft Supreme Court opinion proposing to reverse Roe v. Wade was leaked in early May 2022, with many including graffiti with pro-abortion messages. Crucially, while a handful of the attacks have included thefts, the vast majority have only involved property destruction, indicating that the motive is not primarily material gain.” It added.
“The attacks on Catholic churches have been widespread across the country, affecting 38 states. Hotspots with large clusters of attacks include New York City (19); Denver (10); Los Angeles (10); the D.C. area (9); Portland, Oregon (8); Seattle (7); Boston (7); Houston (4); Philadelphia (4); and Miami/South Florida (4). Some of the churches have been attacked multiple times.” The group continued.
Moreover, the ad, that is also set to run nationally online and on TV in Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin media markets also revealed that “Churches are being burned again because they protect unborn babies and women in need.”
Furthermore, they also released a statement and revealed that “CatholicVote has been tracking the rash of attacks against Catholic churches and pregnancy centers since the Supreme Court draft opinion in Dobbs was leaked.”
“Not a single person has been arrested, and Biden’s DOJ has prosecuted zero individuals responsible for these attacks.” The group added.
