Biden’s Road To Record-High Gas Prices May Soon Lead To Rationing

Gas prices have reached an all-time high in every U.S. state and President Joe Biden’s lack of concrete actions to combat this may soon lead to rationing.

Since Biden came into office, he has done nothing but makes things worse for American consumers—starting when he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline on Inauguration Day, which has led to the loss of many unionized jobs.

The Biden administration also attempted to cancel oil and gas drilling permits former President Donald Trump processed, as well as halting the potential to drill for oil in over 1 million acres in Alaska’s Cook Inlet, along with two lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Due to lack of industry interest in leasing in the area, the Department will not move forward with the proposed Cook Inlet OCS oil and gas lease sale 258,” a Department of the Interior spokesperson told reporters in a statement last week.

“The Department also will not move forward with lease sales 259 and 261 in the Gulf of Mexico region, as a result of delays due to factors including conflicting court rulings that impacted work on these proposed lease sales,” the spokesperson added.

Despite this, the Biden administration continues to advocate for the “environment, sustainability and governance” movement that is trying to starve capital investment in oil and gas production.

Americans have been suffering financial strain due to rapid inflation and high gas prices, and Democrats are fearing that the dissatisfaction with the administration’s handling of the situation could cost them their majority in Congress during the November 8 midterm elections.

The president said in a speech following the rise of inflation earlier this month that it is his “top domestic priority,” and acknowledged the frustration of many.

“I know that families all across America are hurting because of inflation,” he said in a speech from the White House. “I want every American to know that I am taking inflation very seriously and it is my top domestic priority.”

This makes it clear that Biden is clearly uninterested in combating inflation, as his priorities lie elsewhere such as lifting former President Donald Trump’s “Title 42” border policy and joining with anarchists in threatening Supreme Court justices.
