US President Joe Biden was blasted by the GOP lawmakers after blaming the Republicans for the increase of gun violence, alleging that they don’t side with the police officers.

On Monday, the President accused several Republican lawmakers in Florida of not supporting the police officers as they continue to fight against Biden’s plan on restricting the use of firearms and weapons across the United States.

In a post tweeted on the official presidential Twitter account, the President blasted Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., and accused them of not doing enough to restrict “assault weapons,” alleging that their decisions mean they’re anti-police.

“Leaders like Governor DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio, and Senator Rick Scott are all opposed to banning assault weapons. And to me, it’s simple. If you can’t support banning weapons of war on America’s streets, you’re not on the side of the police.” President Biden lamented.

Moreover, the following afternoon, Biden then again called out congressional Republicans for the same reasons and shared an infographic blasting the lawmakers he targeted for voting “against the American Rescue Plan,” and for opposing the “banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines” and the “funding to hire more police officers.”

“How can Congressional Republicans claim to be pro-police?” Biden asked.

The president’s tweet sparked outrage with the media, Republican lawmakers and netizens blasting him on social media.

“The tweet was clearly designed to antagonize pro-Second Amendment Republicans who also pride themselves on backing the blue. In a subsequent tweet posted the following afternoon, Biden also called out congressional Republicans for the same reasons.” Fox News report read.

DeSantis spokesperson Christina Pushaw also responded “Rent Free.”

Moreover, former Donald Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis also tweeted, “It is simple. You’re not on the side of the Constitution.”

Radio host and Townhall.com columnist Derek Hunter also responded to Biden and said, “the party whose members spent a year trying to hit police officers with Molotov cocktails has some thoughts on liking police.”

After that, Conservative commentator Kyle Becker blasted the President, asking, “so, your party wants to Defund the Police b/c they’re racist & applaud BLM rioters who attack them while Soros-funded DAs release them w/o bail or Dems pay for bail but you’re all on the side of police even when they let kids get killed, but… turn in your guns? That’s about right?”

Rick Scott also criticized Biden following his controversial statement. He also brought up the incident when Biden accidentally claimed Scott was the senator from “Wisconsin.” “Looks like @JoeBiden finally got my state right…but he’s still confused.”

“Unlike him, we actually work with law enforcement & know what worries them most. It’s the Democrats’ radical anti-police agenda that poses the greatest threat to our brave police.” He added.
