US President Joe Biden was caught in another lie after he falsely claimed that he almost lost his entire house to a fire.
During his recent speech while speaking to hurricane victims in Florida, Biden brought up the incident when a lightning struck his home and claimed that he almost lost his entire home due to it.
“I know from experience how much anxiety and fear concern other people. We didn’t lose our whole home but lightning struck and we lost an awful lot of it about 15 years ago,” the president said.
In 2004, lightning struck Biden’s house and started a small fire in the kitchen but a fire department successfully kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the house, Cranston Heights Fire Company Chief George Lamborn, said in a statement.
Biden: “We didn’t lose our whole home, but lightning struck and we lost an awful lot of it.”

The lightning started amid a storm that had caused serious damages in Pennsylvania due to the flooding and knocked out power to hundreds of Delaware homes and businesses.
According to the report from the AP News, the firefighters arrived and successfully contained the flames from spreading beyond the kitchen
“Luckily, we got it pretty early. The fire was under control in 20 minutes,” the fire chief told the Associated Press at the time.
However, in the present case, it appears that Biden was only exaggerating the extent of the fire.
This was not the first time that Biden lied about the incident, exaggerating it to try to sympathize with people who have lost their homes due to a disaster.
During Biden’s visit in Colorado last January after wildfires destroyed more than 1,000 homes, Biden brought up the same incident and said, “We have had lightning strike our home and almost lose our home and we only lost about 25 percent of it; we were able to rebuild.”
He also said the same thing at an event in November 2021.
“I know, having had a house burn down with my wife in it — she got out safely, God willing — that having a significant portion of it burn, I can tell: 10 minutes makes a hell of a difference,” he said.
