OpenAI, the company that made ChatGPT, just said that they are going to release a brand-new AI model called GPT-4o.
It would be possible for the model to have a real chat and talk through text and pictures. As the system gets better, users will be able to talk to ChatGPT and get answers from the model in real-time. They even have built-in responses and conversational skills for when the AI is cut off in the middle of a chat.
Ai’s CEO, Sam Altman, said, “It feels like AI from the movies…” It’s never felt normal for me to talk to a computer, but now it does.
As more people want artificial intelligence, OpenAI is facing a lot more competition. Many people were amazed when ChatGPT first came out because it was one of the first AI models to make content that sounded like it was written by a person.
OpenAI held a video event to show off the new features of their most recent AI model. They showed off the new voice helper features along with the face and voice features. Everything was shown in real-time, so people could really get a sense of what the model was like and what it could do.
During the example, an OpenAI researcher told the chatbot, “I’m in a good mood because I was showing you how useful you are.” The chatbot replied, “Oh stop it!” “You’re making me blush!”
The top tech boss at OpenAI, Mira Murati, said that users would be able to get the new model for free because the software is cheaper than their other releases. People who pay, on the other hand, will be able to use more functions than people who use the free version.
