“California needs a warrior in the Senate—to stand up to special interests, fight the dangerous imbalance in our economy, and hold so-called leaders like Mitch McConnell accountable for rigging our democracy. Today, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the U.S. Senate in 2024.” Porter declared.

“I work for California—not a political party, and certainly not corporate donors. I refuse money from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, and executives from Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Wall Street banks. Our campaign is fueled by grassroots support. Join us,” she added.

Following Porter’s controversial announcement, she was slammed by netizens and several media outlets, including the Gateway Pundit who published an article on its previous reports, demonstrating why Porter must not succeed in her endeavor.

The report also wrote the relevant exchange regarding the said controversy.

“I hate to have disappointed you in the manner, as I know it isn’t an excuse. I had found out that my friend from the Navy had been murdered and my head was not in the best place. Not an excuse but a reasoning for the lack of forethought. I appreciate everything this office has done for me,” the Navy Veteran said.

“Well, you gave me COVID. In 25 months, it took you not following the rules to get me sick. My children have nobody to care for them.” Porter responded.

The media outlet also alleged that Porter “abused her staff in other sordid ways, including using racist remarks and mocking sexual harassment reports” after

Moreover, the report also revealed that a Navy veteran and former Wounded Warrior fellow for Porter who was identified as Sasha Georgiades also accused Porter

of using racial slurs while she was talking to staff.

According to Georgiades, Porter mocked and ridiculed people after reporting sexual harassment in her office and even “made fun of individuals whose parents passed away from COVID.”

“Basically told the individual to grow up,” Georgiades said, and added that the staffer who previously worked with Porter left the office shortly “after the sexual harassment conversation” with the congresswoman.
