A Jewish-American political nominee in the Biden administration quit because she didn’t agree with Biden’s policies.

In a letter to Deb Haaland, Secretary of the Department of the Interior, Lily Greenberg Call said she “can no longer in good conscience continue to represent [the] administration amidst President Biden’s disastrous, continued support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.”

“I joined the Biden Administration because I want to fight for a better America and a future where all Americans can thrive: one with a healthy planet, high wages, and equal rights for everyone.” “I have spent my whole career looking for candidates who I think would help this vision come true,” Call said.

At the end of her letter, she said, “However, I can no longer in good conscience continue to represent this administration while President Biden continues to support Israel’s genocide in Gaza.”

She said that President Biden has made Jews in the US feel “less safe” by making them look like the “face of the American war machine.”

She said she had lived her whole life in the Jewish community and that her family had escaped “antisemitic persecution in Europe.” She also said that her position doesn’t mean much when compared to the antisemitism they had to deal with.

She said that Biden hasn’t been holding Israel responsible. She also brought up the fact that President Biden won’t stop giving weapons to Israel, which is what’s really making the war worse.

After she quits, she will be the fifth official to do so because of what’s going on in Israel.
