AI robot looks like a penguin exploring the sea

There is an underwater robot called the Quadrion AUV that looks like a penguin and has started to climb the water. This robot, which is made by the German submarine technology company EvoLogics, swims like a penguin.

The work started with an experimental AUV called “PingGuin.” This was followed by Adélie’s movement, and this is how the Quadrion was made. They came up with this idea almost twenty years ago when they made the AquaPenguin.

The new second-generation Quadrion, which came out last month, is made to be used in more situations. It comes with two HD cameras and side-scan sonar. All of the cameras are lit up by LEDs.

At a charge level of ten hours, it can go up to eleven miles per hour and down to almost five hundred feet deep. It also has a module for recognizing objects and a package from Nortek called the Nucleus1000 for sea track. It stays on a predetermined path while gathering useful information that it will send when it comes back to the top.

Clients are already looking at this robot, so EvoLogics is getting it ready to go into production later this year.

This robot is a big step forward in both artificial intelligence and ways to study and protect our seas. With this, we might learn more about what’s in the ocean and how it works. Technology can help us understand parts of the world we don’t fully grasp yet. Quadrion is a great example of this.
