A case of Dengue fever has been going on in Brazil, and they have just thought of a new way to deal with it.

Six cities in Brazil are getting millions of mosquitoes that are resistant to Dengue. These mosquitoes will protect millions of people. In the past year, Dengue has affected more than a million people, and some of them have died.

According to them, newer technology and ideas can make a big difference in places where infections are common. For example, releasing this mosquito that has bacteria that keep people from getting the disease could make a huge difference.

Because of these health problems, there needs to be a place where people can take care of and keep mosquitoes with good bacteria living so they can fight Dengue fever.

Mosquito breeding and “production” are their main jobs because so many places need them. People should stay away from these mosquitoes if they don’t want to get Dengue fever. Health officials say they want to open another lab to breed mosquitoes, which could bring many more into Brazil.

A lot of the variation in the number of virus cases has been caused by the number of Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes that are present and are being spread in the area.

“Our estimates say that in 10 years, we will be able to protect about 70 million Brazilians in many cities,” said Moreira, a researcher who is studying mosquitoes and making plans for a new place for them to grow.
