The Sopranos actor Yul Vasquez has been cut from the jury pool in fellow actor Jonathan Majors’ assault and harassment trial.

According to reports, Vasquez, known for his recent appearances in Severance and White House Plumbers, was among the 39 potential jurors who went through the jury selection process.

The Sopranos alum expressed concerns about judging a person working in the same field, adding “”that someone would do that to me one day.”

Majors, meanwhile, was seen taking notes on a yellow legal pad and kissing girlfriend Meagan Good on the lips as she took a seat in the gallery of the courtroom.

“Can all of you promise that you can presume that Mr. Majors is innocent even though he’s a celebrity?” the Loki star’s attorney Priya Chaudhr asked the potential jurors, to which they answered yes.

Vazquez was ultimately removed from the jury pool. Six jurors were selected, along with two alternates. Judge Michael J. Gaffey previously delayed the jury selection due to the “highly unusual” circumstances of the case.

“Can we all agree that this entire situation is highly unusual?” Gaffey asked the courtroom at the time. “There are individuals who pass through this courthouse every day, who are indigent and accused of a crime. I don’t believe I’ve ever witnessed, three months later, an indigent person requesting the arrest of a complainant, and then three months later, the complainant was indeed arrested.”

“Did this only come about because of the high-profile nature of this case?” the judge added. “And if this was an indigent, everyday New Yorker, would this have happened?”

The domestic violence case was dismissed earlier at the request of Majors’ legal team but was denied. The Creed III actor was taken into custody in New York City on March 25 and charged with assault, attempted assault, harassment, and aggravated harassment after a domestic dispute with a woman allegedly led to her being hospitalized with minor injuries.

Grace Jabbari voluntarily reported herself into the New York Police Department’s 10th precinct on October 25 after Majors’ team requested that prosecutors look into the matter. She was charged with third-degree domestic assault and criminal mischief.
