Conway’s statement comes in contrast to her mother’s role in Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and her subsequent appointment as a senior advisor to Trump during his presidency. Kellyanne Conway was well-known for advocating and defending Trump’s positions and assertions throughout her time in his administration.
Despite her mother’s political affiliation, Claudia Conway, whose father is George Conway, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, emerged as a vocal critic of Donald Trump after 2020.

Responding to a post shared by the Democrat-aligned activism account “Call to Activism,” Claudia Conway made her feelings known.
The post showcased a couple wearing shirts with the message “Educated Man/Woman for Trump.” In response, Claudia simply wrote, “Delusion.”
Claudia Conway’s journey of dissent against Trump dates back to 2020, when she initially started speaking out against him. During that time, she hinted at having a strained relationship with her parents and even explored the idea of seeking emancipation.
However, more recent developments indicate a possible reconciliation with her family members, including her mother, despite their divergent political stances.
