Far-right Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene blasted President Joe Biden and called for his impeachment.
Speaking on the House floor on Tuesday, Greene claimed that Biden is abusing his power for the arraignment of former President Donald Trump.
The Georgia Republican contrasted the evidence presented in the case of Trump with Biden’s own federal investigation over his alleged involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings.
“But I’d like to roll back. President Trump was wrongfully impeached twice and both of these impeachments must be expunged by the House of Representatives,” she said.
Greene also accused the Democrats of using a political opposition research paper, the Steele dossier, which has been debunked by the Durham report recently.
“The Democrats brought out the Steele dossier. The information was later debunked by Congress, the Inspector General, and special counsel investigations,” she added.
Special Counsel John Durham released his 306-page report recently, outlining his investigation into former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s “Russia Collusion” allegations against Trump.
The report added that CIA Director Brennan briefed then-President Barack Obama and then-Vice President Biden on Clinton’s plan to link Trump’s campaign to Russia. Brennan also continued to push the claim of collusion in the liberal media for years.
Greene is among the Republican lawmakers calling for the investigation into Biden, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who recently said that the findings pertaining to Hunter invoking his father to pressure a Chinese business partner through WhatsApp are subject to impeachment.
“Look, this WhatsApp is direct evidence of Joe Biden abusing his government power to enrich his son, and, assuming 10% for the big guy, to enrich himself,” Cruz said in his podcast at the time. “Remember, this WhatsApp says ‘we want to know.’ This is not just me, Hunter, just mooching off my dad…. Of course the House needs to investigate it, but the stunning thing is what the IRS whistleblower says is [Department of Justice], Merrick Garland prevented an investigation even into this message.”
Cruz also talked about allegations made by a whistleblower from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which House Republicans made public recently. The IRS whistleblower claimed that there had been unprecedented efforts to thwart investigations into Biden during the 2020 campaign and into his presidency.
