DeSantis, believing the allegations to be baseless, consistently presented strong arguments against the notion that Trump colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. While investigations into Russia’s involvement were necessary, no substantial evidence of collusion emerged. Unfortunately, these fabricated claims cast a cloud of suspicion and illegitimacy over Trump’s presidency.
DeSantis was quick to recognize the falsehoods surrounding the allegations and frequently spoke out against them, criticizing the media for their enthusiastic support. Trump, appreciative of the governor’s steadfastness, formed a political alliance with DeSantis.
However, recent developments have strained their relationship due to DeSantis posing a political threat to Trump’s future aspirations.
“The Durham Report confirmed what we already knew: weaponized federal agencies manufactured a false conspiracy theory about Trump-Russia collusion. It reminds us of the need to clean house at these agencies, as they’ve never been held accountable for this egregious abuse of power,” DeSantis tweeted.
The recent revelation of the FBI and DOJ’s flawed and narrow response to the Russia-collusion investigation has served as a wake-up call, demanding a thorough cleansing of these institutions.

DeSantis has proven his willingness to dismiss or terminate officials he deems factually incorrect or in violation of their sworn duties. It is imperative to subject the FBI’s leadership to scrutiny, holding them accountable for their mistakes and compelling them to provide adequate explanations for their proposed reforms, given the magnitude of this scandal. The American people are demanding justice and transparency, which resonate far more than the media’s attempts to suppress or downplay the story.
Another cause for concern is the recent handling of the IRS’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax-related matters. A whistleblower has alleged that the entire team involved in the probe was removed, potentially obstructing a congressional inquiry.
Curiously, both the media and the Justice Department appear disinterested in covering this story or holding the agency accountable, which raises suspicions about their credibility. If a similar situation had unfolded under a Republican administration, the media would have pounced on it with relentless fervor.
The press and the Justice Department’s credibility have been severely compromised, eroding public trust in these esteemed institutions. A thorough investigation into their actions and subsequent accountability is long overdue. Had these underhanded tactics been employed against a prominent Democrat, the media would have swiftly exposed the plot and turned the tables.
